Dragon fruit (Hylocereus undatus) belongs to the cactus family, originally from Mexico. Thanks to its favorable climate and fertile soil, the Mekong Delta has become Vietnam’s leading dragon fruit growing region, producing fruit with a distinctive, naturally sweet flavor.
Vietnam exports two main varieties:
- White Flesh Dragon Fruit
- Red Flesh Dragon Fruit
Both types have bright red skin with green scales and are rich in nutrients, offering a refreshing, mildly sweet taste.
