Vietnam Earns USD 33.8 Billion from Agricultural Exports in First Half of 2025 – Strong Trade Growth with the U.S.
At VietTradeHub, we are proud to share that Vietnam’s total export turnover of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products reached USD 33.8 billion in the first six months of 2025, marking a 15.5% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Despite global economic uncertainties, Vietnam’s agriculture sector has shown resilient and stable growth. In June 2025 alone, the export value was estimated at USD 5.9 billion, up 5.3% year-on-year. Key products driving this growth include coffee, tea, cassava, seafood, and wood-based products.

The U.S. alone accounted for 21% of Vietnam’s total agricultural exports in this period, with a 16% year-on-year growth.

Other major markets included China (slightly decreased by 0.7%) and Japan (increased by 25%).

Regionally, Asia remains the largest export destination, while America saw the highest growth at 18.7%.
Import-Export Balance:
While exports surged, imports also increased at a similar pace. In June 2025, Vietnam imported USD 4.21 billion worth of agri-forestry-fishery goods, bringing the total to USD 24 billion for the first half of the year (up 15% YoY).
Main import sources were Asia (31%) and America (24.7%), with significant contributions from China and the U.S.
